Installing Akelos: Call to undefined function mysql_connect()

    I am running unbuntu 8.10 using XAMPP linux install.

    I am getting the error when trying to generate a controller. Everything worked fine up to this point.

    You should have your databases set up first ...

    I used phpmyadmin to set them up as I followed the screen cast. I would not have gotten past the setup databases without them so I know akelos recognizes them.

    This is the error I am getting.

    ~/projects/booklink$ ./script/generate scaffold Booklink

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in /home/skamar/akelos/vendor/adodb/drivers/adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 347


    Again, the databases exist.

    The missing method, mysql_connect(), exists in /home/skamar/akelos/vendor/pear/DB/mysql.php

    Any idea why this would not be included in the "path" when akelos is running?
