Database Design: Using different connections on different models?

    Hi,

    Is it possible to load a model with a new connection to the same server? I need to connect one model to it's own connection for keeping a "transaction with consistant snapshot". But the other models, i need to be able to save data on the run.

    I think this would solve itself if the one model I need to run in a "TRANSACTION WITH CONSISTANT SNAPSHOT", on it's own seperated connection to the database.

    I think I have seen something about models being able to run on different connections, but I can't seem to find back to that text.

    Anyone have any hints?
